Our school is part of Education Queensland’s Public Private Partnership (PPP). The Aspire Schools consortium have designed, built and will maintain the school’s day to day facilities management including, cleaning, janitorial and schools officer (grounds-keeping) staff. Members of the consortium include Ventia, Commonwealth Bank, Broad Group with private finance provided by Ventia and Commonwealth Bank entities and National Australia Bank.
Our school is now in its sixth year after opening in 2011. There has been a steady increase in student numbers and there will be approximately 580 students to commence the 2016 school year.
WoodLinks State School offers the full range of classes from Prep to Year 6. Additionally, the school has a specialised learning area, music centre, resource centre, tuckshop, science area, Stephanie Alexander kitchens (5 mini kitchens), covered areas and school oval.
Specialist teachers provide classes in physical education, music, Languages other than English (LOTE - Japanese) and instrumental music. The school has access to specialised services including guidance officer, speech language pathologist, advisory visiting teachers as necessary, support teacher and library technician.
